#Saveforlater: Twitter to soon introduce bookmarking feature

Twitter to Introduce a New Bookmarking Tool

Only last month the news came that Twitter is introducing 280 characters tweet, now twitter announced another feature called "Save for later". You could either Like a tweet or by DMing it to your self. If you click "Add to Bookmarks", you can save that tweet. That's interesting, given that building "with" user input is how Twitter used to develop features borrowed from the community. The head of product Keith Coleman tweeted saying, "Fresh out of Hackweek and coming soon-a new way to save tweets to read later".

Being world's most popular microblogging website, Twitter is getting a lot of new features to its app. For feedback, the Twitter team is monitoring #SaveForLater hashtag.

Twitter will allow users to bookmark tweets for later viewing in a dedicated area on the site, giving a potentially better option than liking, retweeting, or emailing a tweet to themselves to save it. This method or we can say this feature will save the Tweet and they can make use of the bookmarked tweet and can fetch them anytime they want. The "send via DM" option is expected to be replaced by an overflow menu that reveals a similar feature.

Upon saving, a snack bar appears with a shortcut to quickly "View Bookmarks". One could argue that clicking the heart icon is a quick way to save the tweet. You can choose from these options to a particular tweet.

In a previous update, the company has also made changes to the notifications tab and it shows other information in addition to likes, retweets and mentions, such as people included in your Twitter network. A Twitter spokesperson, however, confirmed to TechCrunch that the feature is not just an experiment, and will surely be available publicly.
