6/6Andoria

The third through eighth "Star Trek: Discovery" episodes will be streamed Sundays, from October 1 though November 5, with the new "After Trek", episodes streamed at 6:30 p.m.

FOX | Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? did 2.8 mil and a 1.1.

With Star Trek: Discovery's first two episodes available to stream on All Access, its customer base is growing at warp speed. CBS All Access is now available online at CBS.com, on mobile devices via the CBS App for iOS, Android and Windows 10, and on Roku Players, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Fire TV.

Bormanis (who is not with Star Trek anymore in an official capacity, but does write for The Orville) also gives Discovery's take on Star Trek terminology and technology a passing grade.

Here's all the Easter eggs we could find from Star Trek: Discovery's first episode.

In this shiny and new iteration Sonequa Martin-Green plays the protagonist as she is the First Officer of the USS Shenzou Michael Burnham, making for the first woman of color to ever play the lead in the sci-fi staple. "Just as importantly, for everything questionable about the design, it still feels like 'Trek.'" He also said, "For the first time in ages, I'm looking forward to watching more new 'Star Trek.' It's a good feeling".

Looking at close-ups of the weapon, it's clear that designers of the phaser's new 3-barrel design wanted to make sure that fans could trace the weapon's lineage as a predecessor to the TOS phaser's classic nib design - an important technological detail for a prequel series set 10 years before the original Enterprise took action.

Harry Dean Stanton dead: Legendary character actor dies at 91
And, finally, the official Twitter account for the film tweeted out a lovely dedication to its star, which you can read below. Actor Harry Dean Stanton has died at 91. "There went a great one.everybody loved him". "Thank you, Harry Dean".

It's not just the TV shows that Discovery pays homage too.

The video above, shared exclusively with Gizmodo by Netflix, shows you what Star Trek: Discovery would be like if it were dubbed entirely in Klingon.

Although Star Trek: Discovery features a new ship, new characters, and new missions, it espouses the same ideals and optimism which have drawn in audiences for more than 50 years. At the same time, fans have anxious that none of these visuals line up with the history of the show - Discovery is basically set at the same time as "The Cage", the original Trek pilot which starred Jeffrey Hunter. Discovery feels like the rebirth of a franchise, much in the same way Star Wars: The Force Awakens did for Star Wars, and it doesn't back away from boldly going where (almost) no Star Trek series has gone before.

The series does receive a welcome infusion with the arrival of Jason Isaacs as Captain Lorca in a subsequent episode, but by then it's hard to escape the nagging sense that this is Star Trek Lite.

Sucked unceremoniously into the vacuum of space by a hull breach, Connors is the latest in a long tradition of Star Trek deaths.

Nearly no one has seen a Klingon in more than 100 years. The acting is good; there's room for improvement, and I'll be interested to see how the acting comes into focus when the visual effects aren't at the forefront.
