Rand Paul: Graham-Cassidy Health Care Bill 'a Bad Idea'

Sen. John McCain R-Ariz. on Capitol Hill in July

President Donald Trump lashed out at Sen.

"John McCain never had any intention of voting for this Bill, which his Governor loves", Trump said in a Saturday tweet. That defeat had been seen by many as the end of a seven-year campaign pledge by many Republicans to repeal Obamacare.

"I hope that we can pass a bill this week that will be bipartisan, help stabilize the markets, help reduce the premiums under the leaderships of Senator Lamar Alexander and Patty Murray and those of us who are working hard toward that goal". There are already two Republican senators on record opposing the bill from GOP Sens.

"We said if you take these edits we're a yes". Lindsey Graham of SC and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana.

Paul criticized the GOP bill anew as "not repeal".

The new proposal would turn Obamacare funds into block grants for the states, which would create their own health-care plans for their residents.

"If this bill becomes law, tremendous authority will devolve back to the states, and determining the path and direction of coverage will rest squarely in Madison", Borgerding said. "But I'm just not for this block granting concept because it is affirmative vote that I have agreed to keep Obamacare".

Paul says on NBC's "Meet the Press" that the bill wouldn't actually repeal the Affordable Care Act. Judy Woodruff talks to Sen. But Vice President Mike Pence said the fight wasn't over.

In Maine, Collins said there are lots of numbers floating around, and she's awaiting an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office before she makes a final decision.

That's despite the fact the bill would loosen the rules under the Obama health law - by giving states waivers that would let insurers charge more, or tailor benefits to discourage people with costly conditions from signing up.

Expert is 'pretty dubious' about a bipartisan solution to health care
National opinion surveys show that overall a majority of Americans want to keep the current law, although many Republicans do not. That defeat had been seen by many as the end of a seven-year campaign pledge by many Republicans to repeal Obamacare.

Indian Cricket Team for First Three ODIs Against Australia
The likes of Smith, David Warner... they've got to work towards finding what is the right technique and style for these players. Two young captains, two very good players, two very good captains and they both continue to improve.

If the Texas Republican sticks to that stand, GOP leaders will have little hope that their 11th-hour Senate push will survive.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Paul said the measure was "fake repeal" because it would leave in place most of the near $1 trillion in taxes President Barack Obama's health care overhaul imposed to finance its expansion of coverage. Collins and Murkowski were the only Republicans who voted "no" on four pivotal votes on earlier versions of the GOP legislation this summer. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Sen.

Baldwin recently staked her support to a diametrically opposite health care proposal: Sen.

A showdown vote would have to occur this week to give Republicans any shot at reversing their debacle on the issue in July, when the GOP-run Senate rejected their initial attempt to dismantle Obama's law.

White House legislative liaison Marc Short said he expected a vote to occur Wednesday.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has also come out against the measure, calling it "ObamaCare lite". The same analysis shows other states would lose ground.

That change would cut federal funding for Medicaid compared to the course set under current law. "Let Arizona down!" Trump tweeted Saturday.

Key Republican senators voiced doubts over the latest Obamacare repeal bill, narrowing its chances of passage before a looming September 30 deadline.

Anyone who experiences a similar disaster can imagine what other people go through in such a crisis. Deductibles high, people angry!
