LIVE: Apple prepares to unveil new iPhone range

Apple's Special Event today lived up to its name with a slew of new hardware announcements, touching on everything from the company's iconic iPhone to its Apple Watch, AirPods and more.

Apple is bucking its traditional naming convention by calling the new phones iPhone 8 rather than 7S.

As well as the new iPhones were are also expecting to see a new 4K Apple TV and a new Apple Watch Series 3. After months of rumours and speculation, Apple has scheduled the launch its new iPhone 8 - along with other products - for 10 a.m. The handset is expected to be powered by trhe new Apple A11 processor and it will come with 3GB of RAM.

Ahead of the much-awaited launch, there has been a major leak of features, including the anticipated name of Apple's latest iPhone. The upgrade comes with a bunch of new and nifty features on the iPhone 8 Plus' camera app, which allows users to tweak the lighting in Portrait mode.

The iPhone X 64GB is likely to cost $999, the iPhone 256GB will cost $1099 while the most expensive variant with price of $1199 could be the iPhone X 512GB. This is a catch-up product for Apple and includes HDR as well as 4K.

Netflix and Amazon Prime 4K videos are coming to Apple TV as well. You can use Face ID to log into your iPhone X, and Apple talked about how this facial recognition technology can't be tricked by photos or super-realistic masks of your face.
