Hillary Clinton's book tour: Another exercise in blaming everyone but herself

Late-night host Colbert gives Trump Nazi salute

"What Happened?" That's the title of Hillary Clinton's up-coming memoire.

Clinton teased the book last month by released an audio excerpt to MSNBC's Morning Joe, in which she explained her reaction to Trump's debate-stalking incident back in 2016.

She accuses Sanders of resorting "to innuendo and impugning my character" because the two candidates actually agreed on so many issues.

Clinton praised Sanders, a long shot for the nomination, for engaging "a lot of young people in the political process for the first time, which is extremely important". You're not president, but that's not Bernie's fault.

"Because even though we didn't win, we made the sight of a woman nominee more familiar and we brought the possibility of a woman president closer", she said in a candid interview for TIME's multimedia project, "Firsts", featuring 46 groundbreaking women.

"What you'll see will be her story - live".

"This isn't the time to complain because Senator Woodstock didn't roll over for you", he told Clinton as he urged her to help unite Democrats and liberals.

In her book, which is set to be released on September 12, Clinton wrote that she was planning to "hit back hard" at Comey but her campaign advised her against it.

US GDP Second Quarter Growth Revised Up to 3 Percent
The economists expect that the hurricane Harvey, which is now hitting Texas and Louisiana, weighs in on the economic growth. Trump talked up the latest figures in a speech Wednesday in Springfield, Missouri, laying out his plans for tax reform.

Clinton also appears to be wrestling with other demons throughout "What Happened" as she comes to terms with the aftermath of her devastating loss. "Oh, God", "I can't handle it", and "the final torture" were among the responses from former campaign aides polled by Politico.

"I find this fairly remarkable, considering that Joe himself campaigned for me all over the midwest and talked plenty about the middle class". Honestly, I wish she'd just shut the f-- up and go away'. Trump is president, and she never will be. "We remember how she flip-flopped on the [Trans-Pacficic Partnership]".

The devasted Hillary wrote What Happened to point out just what really did cause her to lose the election. "Frankly, it's obvious I got screwed on all sides". "She blames him and his supporters for irreparably damaging her campaign".

Clinton referenced the throngs of protesters who took the streets of Washington and other cities in a Women's march shortly after his election.

"If you want to blame something ancient, blame the electoral college", he said.

Zipperer said Clinton's nod to her own culpability rings hollow.

"Comey's letter turned that picture upside down", Clinton writes about her tarnished image, which she said had gone from a picture of a steady leader to one compromised by scandal.
