Figure out what 'covfefe' means

Social media rushes to define Trump's'covfefe tweet

If there's anything generating more buzz Wednesday than the NBA Finals, it's a string of letters tweeted out by President Trump in the overnight hours.

Presumably, Trump meant to use the word "kerfuffle", which means a disturbance or fuss, in the tweet in question: "Despite the constant negative press covfefe".

A midnight tweet from U.S. President Donald Trump set the global social media scene ablaze as thousands of people scrambled to figure out what the word "covfefe" meant.

But that's hard for people to believe, especially since the tweet wasn't a complete sentence and was deleted from the president's personal account before 6 a.m.

Or perhaps, it was his jibe at Trump critics who has unleashed endless waves of mockery with their wild guesses of its meaning. "Despite the constant negative press covfefe", read the United States leader's short tweet sent early Wednesday.

Strategy, teamwork help Hamilton win Spanish GP over Vettel
Like the first two practice sessions, Red Bull pair of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were fifth and sixth, respectively. Bottas was later forced to stop his Mercedes when it started spouting smoke midway through the race.

Dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster checked in with an eye-rolling tweet, and dozens of definitions have been submitted to the Urban Dictionary website, which crowdsources slang terms.

Spicer: "No. I think the president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant".

It's not uncommon for Donald Trump to post an indiscernible tweet, but last night, he truly one-upped himself. "Enjoy!" he tweeted. But the "covfefe" debate didn't end there.

That follow-up appeared at 06:09 (10:00 GMT) on Wednesday, more than six hours after the original message (posted at 00:06).
